A wonderful slice of small town life. Recorded august 27 2022 at a small town baseball game in southern illinois. Not a huge crowd, but you hear the murmur of parents, kids and of course the crack of the steel bat against the baseball. Especially good with headphones on, as i recorded this in stereo. Equipment: zoom f3. Microphones: em clippy 272 omni-directional microphones on microphone stands located 38 inches apart. Enjoy this timeless summer soundscape representing all that is good. This is a sound essay comprised of five 1-minute recordings. Seagulls and other birds are present throughout. Airplanes are heard at 2:07 and 4:22. Carpenters and other workmen are heard more or less throughout. Cars and trucks pass by frequently; trucks beeping as they back up are also heard. It was a foggy day, so a foghorn can be heard occasionally. Recorded on sony cybershot dsc-hx9v. Location: portland, maine (usa). Date: october 25, 2022.

The churning white water of a rushing river cut into a perfectly seemless loop. Recorded on location during a video shoot using in camera microphone and then later processed in my daw. Recorded the whole seven to eight minutes long show in a relatively secluded location, so there is minimal to none audience in the recording. Location: charlotte douglas international airporttime: april 2015. A strong storm hit charlotte, north carolina, and flights got delayed or canceled. The gates got crowded and people were restless. Sounds recorded by me for my previous indie film. Weapons are live and firing blanks from different locations as part of the movie making process. Various echoes and other sound qualities reflect where the shooter is compared to the sound recorder. Sounds with street echo are particularly useful in sound design of street shootouts with automatic weapons. Weapon id: heckler & koch mp5a3 - 9mm.

About 2. 5 minutes of ambient audio recorded at the hurunui jacks campground adjacent to the kaniere river near hokitika on the west coast of new zealand. This is an inland tropical rain-forest setting. There are lots of insect sounds, birds, and the sound of the river (not very prominent) in the background. No other sounds captured (no cars, airplanes, honking horns, people talking, etc). Would be good to use for a camp scene ambient in a similar location, nature scene, etc. Recorded with a zoom h1.

A hot summers day in the deep swedish forest. Recorded with zoom h5 with two dpa 4060 mounted in a ab stereo fashion. Birds chatting and bugs flying by is major elements in this field recording. Decided not to remove to much of the bugs in post because i felt it might suck out the soul of the recording. In post: in pro tools i removed some low rumble, and and trimmed the highs just a little bit. Added a "pro expander" to lower some noise, both generated by the h5 and the location. Hope you like it.

I was at a human trafficking conference and to thank the people the first nations people of the area sang this song for a long time brushing the participants with cedar boughs and smudging. I caught about half of the singing and drumming. It was done in a large lunch room with about 100 people attending in the late afternoon. I recorded the sound with my lumix fz200.
